When contacting support, include the Extension version, browser name and version, source type, operation attempted, displayed error, and reproducible steps. If relevant, state whether the failure affects one item or an entire queue.
Do not send passwords, authentication cookies, payment-card details, private file contents, confidential URLs, or other sensitive information. Screenshots should be redacted before sending.
Common questions
Notebooks do not load
Open Gemini Notebook in the same browser profile and confirm that you are signed in and can see My notebooks. Return to the Extension and open the destination selector again. Notebook Extension has no separate Google sign-in screen.
A webpage cannot be added
Confirm that it is an HTTP or HTTPS URL accessible to NotebookLM. Browser-internal pages, local pages, sign-in-only pages, paywalled pages, unsupported files, and sites that block automated retrieval may fail.
Page-link collection does not work
Enter the page whose links you want to inspect and select Collect. The browser may request access to that site. Pages rendered entirely after complex interaction, inaccessible pages, and restricted schemes may yield few or no links.
A YouTube playlist returns no videos
Use a public playlist URL containing a playlist identifier. Private, unlisted-without-access, region-restricted, age-restricted, or dynamically unavailable videos may not be collectible or acceptable to NotebookLM.
A local file fails
Select no more than 10 files at once and keep each file at or below 200 MB. The Extension processes files sequentially, but NotebookLM may impose additional format, account, or processing limits.
A bulk import stops or reports errors
Review the per-item status. An inaccessible source should fail individually while the remaining queue continues. Keep the tools page open for the most detailed progress and retry only failed items.
Rename is not saved
Double-click or double-tap the notebook title, edit it, then press Enter or move focus away. Pressing Escape cancels the edit. Rename availability depends on permission to edit that notebook.
Generated audio or slides are unavailable
Generation depends on NotebookLM account eligibility, source readiness, service capacity, and current NotebookLM features. Refresh the notebook information after processing completes.
